Verb [Oscan]

Etymology: Disputed. According to De Vaan, from com- + Proto-Italic *porskō. The LIV, however, derives the term from Proto-Indo-European *pr̥ksḱéti, itself from a putative root *perk-, which—according to the LIV—would also be the source of Latin parcō and Oscan 𐌐𐌄𐌓𐌔𐌕𐌖 (perstu).
